An excellent place to eat!  This is NOT McDonalds.  The Log Jam has a quieter atmosphere, but is still a family style restaurant. The prices seemed a little bit higher than the norm in the area, but not bad considering the atmosphere, and the quality of the food.  If you are a steak lover you must try this place out.  They also have the best salad bar I have seen in the area.  The Log Jam DOES honor reservations!  I have called to make a reservation, and when I arrived almost 15 minutes early, my table was ready for me, while there was a line of people waiting out front to be seated.  The Log Jam is perfect for a nice quiet dinner for two, or a family outing.  They are located at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Rt. 149 in the outlet center south of Lake George.
